Guineas winner Billesdon Brook has Nassau Stakes option at Glorious Goodwood after Royal Ascot fourth
GUINEAS heroine Billesdon Brook could step up in trip for her next start with the Qatar Nassau Stakes on the radar.
Richard Hannon's filly was brilliant in the QIPCO 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket in May.
She was then far from disgraced when finishing fourth behind ultra-impressive winner Alpha Centauri in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.
The three-year-old could now be in line for a crack at the Group 1 contest at Glorious Goodwood.
Hannon told At The Races: "I was a little disappointed, I'm not going to deny that, she never really got in the race or had that 'whoosh' like she did at Newmarket.
"There's a fair chance we will step up in trip, yes - we'll probably put her in the Nassau (over 10 furlongs) and go from there.

"She ran her race without that 'whoosh', she gained ground all the way to the line and I'm very proud of her - she won the war, lost the battle.
"She's a Classic winner."

Hannon has yet to win the Nassau Stakes, with Aidan O'Brien and John Gosden dominating recent renewals.
Yet Billesdon Brook offers him a big chance of gaining that breakthrough success.-
Richard Hannon Snr won the race back in 1995 with Caramba.
