LUCKY LODGE is a few pounds lower in the handicap on turf compared to the AW and that can make all the difference in this tight contest. He was a solid third at Nottingham last time and should be in the shake-up again.

BLOWN BY WIND ran a cracker when seventh in the Group 2 Coventry Stakes last time and finished ‘second’ on the disadvantaged side of the track. This trip is ideal and he should have too much for these rivals.

SILVER STARLIGHT has come nicely down the weights and ran her best race for a while when a good fifth at Thirsk last time out. She likes this distance and wouldn’t have to find much more to figure.

CONTREBASSE shaped well on his first run over this distance at Beverley last time out. He was well backed that day and looks as though he’s got more to offer than we’ve seen on the racecourse so far.

WALK ON WALTER has been in good form this year and followed up his Newcastle win with a close second back on turf at Windsor last time out. He still has few miles on the clock and he should go close again over his best distance.

KIT MARLOWE has been below his two-year-old form on his couple of outings this season but he’s had a little help from the handicapper and ran better than fifth suggests at Redcar last time out. He is capable of improvement.

QUOTELINE DIRECT ran well when second at Haydock last time, with a fair gap back to the third horse. He’s off the same mark here and tackles the same trip. This looks a potentially weaker race so he has every chance.
