Saturday Racing Tips: Di Fede will take plenty of beating in the Coral Distaff at Sandown

Ralph Beckett's filly has the form to run a big race at Sandown on Saturday

SATURDAY'S card at Sandown promises to be a cracker, with the Group 1 Coral Eclipse the big race of the day at 2.10.

The supporting card is pretty tasty in it's own right, and DI FEDE looks to have an outstanding chance in the Coral Distaff.

Ralph Beckett's filly was kept busy as a two-year-old, winning twice and finishing placed on three occasions.

She caught the eye when third on her comeback in a valuable handicap at Ascot, the form of which is incredibly strong.

She was beaten just a neck by the winner Urban Fox, who landed the Group 1 Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday, while the runner-up Tribute Act was second in a Group 2 at Royal Ascot.

Di Fede did her bit for the form when winning a warm race at Leicester, lowering the colours of a Roger Varian hotpot.

She was last seen finishing seventh in the Sandringham at the Royal meeting, travelling smoothly into contention 2f out before fading late.

It was a good run considering she raced just off a strong gallop in the early stages.

The daughter of Shamardal does like to sit up with the pace - no bad thing at Sandown which is a track that favours prominent racers.

She has clearly taken her form to another level this season, and her trainer is a master at helping filly's maximise their potential. She looks a very tempting bet at a top price 10-1.
