THURSDAY TIPS

Best horse racing tips for Thursday: Sunracing’s top picks for today’s racing at Haydock, Perth, Yarmouth, Newbury and Epsom

Don't miss out on Sunracing's best bet and each-way shot at all five meetings today

WITH the World Cup on the backseat, for one more day at least, the thoroughbred gets another deserved day in the sun.

There's competitive racing at Haydock, Perth, Yarmouth, Newbury and Epsom and we've picked out some bets from across the cards.

1

Haydock

Best bet

3.30 - Pablo Escobarr: England snuck past the Colombian's in Russia, and I think Mark Johnston's imposing colt can get one back for the South Americans after an impressive debut.

Each-way

2.00 - Make On Madam: Not very well off at the weights but has the form to be a factor in a wide-open handicap. Les Eyre has been in good form.

Perth

Best bet

3.10 - Alizee De Janeiro: Won here last time out and will enjoy going up in trip. Still looks unexposed in a race that won't take much winning.

Each-way

4.40 - King's Wharf: A bit of a leap of faith but is on a generous mark if able to transfer any of his chasing form to the smaller hurdles. Outside shot.

Yarmouth

Best Bet

2.50 - Alsimsaam: Probably wants a tad further already but promising enough debut and looks to have found a good opening here.

Each-way

3.50 - Catoca: Form is patchy to say the least but showed some improvement last time on handicap debut. That's played well and she can come forwards again.

DO OR DI Saturday tips: Di Fede can dominate in the Coral Distaff at Sandown

Newbury

Best Bet

7.50 - Neola: Dropped significantly in grade and a par performance might be enough to take this. Has some decent form at Listed level.

Each-way

8.25 - Scoones: Small fields at Newbury don't make this easy but James Fanshawe's gelding is as consistent as they come and should deliver value for money.

Epsom

Best Bet

6.30 - Arden Warrior: Would be surprised if Archie Watson's juvenile is not far too good for these. Looks the perfect race to shed his maiden tag.

Each-way

7.35 - Highland Acclaim: Loves it over the bumps and turns of Epsom and can bounce back to form here at a juicy price. Does need to improve on latest efforts though.
