SHAMSHON ran his best race for a long time when a close-up third at Newmarket last time out.

That effort was over this trip on similar ground and he’s got winning form at this track, which doesn’t suit all horses.

JUNGLE INTHEBUNGLE should be more at home in this grade after finding the Windsor Castle Stakes too hot at Royal Ascot last time out.

Before heading to that meeting, he had gone well at Kempton and then won with a bit in hand at Beverley. He can get back on track here.

LINE OF DUTY and Alrajaa are both nicely bred newcomers from top yards and a market move for either would be telling.

The former is sent out by the in-form Charlie Appleby and, although he’ll want further in time, this trip should be ideal as a two-year-old.

Not much form to go on here but KING OF COMEDY is certainly bred to be above this level and should come here knowing his job from John Gosden.

Plenty of others in the family won over this trip so keep an eye on the betting for any move on debut.

MUSTASHRY has much the best form in the race and only his return from 280 days off gives any cause for concern.

At his best he is a proven Group-race performer who scored at that level last term at York. It’s interesting to see Sir Michael Stoute stepping him up in distance as a five-year-old but he’s a past master at doing that.

BLUE LAUREATE took a step forward upping in distance despite finishing seventh here last time out.

He wasn’t asked too many questions and connections know he is suited by this sort of trip and should have him closer to the action today.

ZEELANDER has been knocking on the door over shorter trips and looks as though this move into staying company is a smart one.

He has been upped 4lb for a close second at York last time, which came on the back of another good effort on the Knavesmire. He looks capable of taking a big step forward today.

DARK CONFIDANT is a good ride for an amateur and Ella McCain guided him to victory at Thirsk in a similar contest last season.

He came back from a break to run a fair race at Hamilton last time and should be happier fitness-wise today.
