WITH World Cup fever stronger than ever, even the most fanatical racegoer heading to Sandown for the Coral-Eclipse wouldn't want to miss England's quarter-final encounter on Saturday.

Luckily, you can watch the match at the racecourse - but you can only wear your England shirt in one enclosure there, so be careful!

1

Sandown is really getting into the World Cup spirit this year, with screens all around the course showing England vs Sweden.

The main place to support the team will be in the Football Zone, but there are other places around the course that will be showing it too.

With the Coral-Eclipse off at 2.10, you've even got time to watch the main bulk of the racing before the football starts.

Unfortunately you won't be allowed to wear an England shirt in the Premier enclosure - so make sure you don't bring one if you've got tickets there!

Which other racecourses are showing the match?

With this being England's best chance of reaching the semi-finals for years, most racecourses will be putting the match on.

Haydock

The northern venue will be showing the game across all TV screens and in every bar across the racecourse.

However, it won't be on the big screens on the course itself, so make sure to get inside for a good view.

And don't wear an England shirt because you won't be allowed in!

Chelmsford

The Essex track will have screens showing the match all around the course, and will be combining the football with a night of music and festivities.

So if England lose (perish the thought) you can drown away your sorrows in some top quality Depeche Mode.

Again, no England shirts!

Beverley

Beverley is the place to go for the World Cup - they're allowing everyone to wear England shirts!

Whether this is because they think it's coming home i'm not sure, but it's a great incentive to cheer on the national team in style.

Make sure you get to the bottom end of the course for the big match, or alternatively you can take a pitch in both the Grandstand & Paddock and Course Enclosures.

However, you'd better cheer loudly because there won't be any commentary!

Leicester

Officials have clubbed together at Leicester to put on a show for the football and will have a big screen broadcasting the match for racing fans.

The screen will be by the main stage, where entertainment will be taking place in the evening.

And what's even better - you can wear your England shirt!

It's coming home and so's the money!

Here are some of the best football-themed racehorse names running on Saturday - and they all have genuine chances of bringing home the bacon.

Best England bets

Dream Of Dreams - Sandown 12.20: Needs to rediscover best form but is trained by a master and could well be suited by this sharp test

Different League - Sandown 12.20: Formerly very smart indeed but hasn't done much since joining Aidan O'Brien - too soon to write off, though

Roaring Lion - Sandown 2.10: Dante winner was very impressive but found Masar too strong in the Derby. Could reverse that form over a shorter trip.
