Lingfield, Catterick, Yarmouth, Kempton and Bath come under the spotlight as Templegate gives you his best bets for the day
KING OF NEPAL (nap) – trained by in-form Henry Candy – is a sweet bet in Kempton’s 5.20.
He’s been successful on both his previous visits to this track. His nose defeat of subsequent Victoria Cup hero Ripp Orf is good form and his two efforts this summer aren’t worth worrying about as he just doesn’t look anywhere near as good on turf.
ARCHIMEDES (6.40 Bath, nb) took his track tally to three wins from six visits here last week.
The faster the ground the better it suits him so the recent hot spell has been ideal.
BAILARICO (3.30 Lingfield, treble) has won all three races since switching to Warren Greatrex.
He’s only gone up 3lbs for last month’s Nottingham win when the 1m6f trip looked too sharp for him. The return to 2m should help him keep the winning streak going.
