He made a couple of novicey mistakes there, which you would expect on his second run. There should be more to come.

CAPELAND was a useful performer over hurdles and took well to fences on his chasing debut here last time. He travelled well and gave the impression that he would learn plenty from it.

TIDAL WATCH has won a couple of handicaps and is favoured at the weights as he drops back into novice company here. He likes this distance and should be much too strong for these rivals.

CHARLIE MON was a good second here last time after filling the runner-up spot at Uttoxeter. He sees out this distance well and has winning course form, which could give him the edge in an open contest.

BOKO FITTLEWORTH turned a nine-runner race at Market Rasen last time into a training exercise with a comfortable success. He had 22 lengths in hand crossing the line and it could have been a lot further. Cracker Factory won well at Aintree last time and this should be between them.

AS YOU LIKE has won a couple of slightly easier races than this, including at Ffos Las last time out. He likes this distance and the ground suits so a 4lb rise in the weights shouldn’t stop him.

TEA TIME FRED has been consistent and went well enough when third here last time out. He goes off the same mark today and, with conditions to suit, he should be right there.
