Today’s horse racing tips: Three longshots to fill your pockets on Sunday, July 22
Don't miss out on these each-way bets for Sunday, July 22
THERE is no such thing as a quiet day in racing, and there are three more competitive cards to enjoy this Sunday.
With value to be had at Newton Abbot, Redcar and Stratford, here are some tasty longshots for you to get stuck into.
There is nothing iffy about THAHAB IFRAJ (2.45) at Stratford.
The five-year-old ran with promise on his return to hurdling when fourth at Newton Abbot last time after a spell on the Flat.
On his last appearance over today's course and distance he comfortably beat Mister Universum - a subsequent winner who is now rated 130.
Trainer Alex Dunn has fitted him with blinkers for the first time and he looks well-treated off 109.
Three Longshots to fill your boots
2.45 Stratford - Thahab Ifraj: 'Blinkers fitted for the first time and looks on an attractive mark' (Bet here)
4.55 Redcar - Orion's Bow: 'Very well handicapped and ran encouragingly in a stronger race last time' (Bet here)
5.20 Newton Abbot - Jennys Day: 'Goes well fresh and talented claimer takes off a handy 5lbs' (Bet here)
The stars can align for ORION'S BOW (4.55) at Redcar.
Tim Easterby's seven-year-old has some brilliant form to his name, including a second in the Stewards Cup off a mark of 103.
A winless run has seen him ease down the weights to a mark of 85 and he didn't run too badly in a higher grade last time.
This is his easiest task for a while and Easterby has his yard in good form.
Today could be the day for JENNYS DAY (5.20 Newton Abbot).
The Katy Price-trained seven-year-old has been off the track since finishing a close fifth over 3m2f in a decent race at Stratford in April.
He comes here fresh, and his only previous career victory came after a break.
Talanted claimer Sean Houlihan takes off a handy 5lbs and the gelding could get an uncontested lead.
