High-class colt Expert Eye to be supplemented for the Group 1 Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood
SIR Michael Stoute has his Eye on a fourth Sussex Stakes win.
The legendary trainer has given Expert Eye the green light to run in the valuable Group 1 at Glorious Goodwood next Wednesday.
The son of Acclamation looked a superstar in the making when landing the Group 2 Vintage Stakes at Goodwood last summer.
However, he suffered defeats in the Dewhurst, Greenham and 2000 Guineas on his next three starts.
He bounced right back to his best with a brilliant win in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot last month and he has pleased Stoute in his work since then.
Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Khalid Abdullah, confirmed that the colt would be supplemented for the race at a cost of £70,000.

James Doyle, who was in irresistible form when winning the Irish Oaks on Sea Of Class last Sunday, will take the ride in the £1,000,000 feature, which takes place on day two of the festival.
Grimthorpe said: "Following a workout this morning at Newmarket, Prince Khalid has agreed to supplement Expert Eye to the Sussex Stakes on Wednesday 1 August.
"The entry will be made provided all is well on Thursday at noon. James Doyle will ride."
The market for the Sussex Stakes is currently headed by unbeaten three-year-old Without Parole at 6-4.

John Gosden's colt won the St James's Palace Stakes at the Royal meeting.
Expert Eye has been installed as the 7-2 second favourite with the bookies.
