Best horse racing tips for Thursday: Sunracing’s top picks for today’s racing at Doncaster, Newbury, Sandown, Worcester and Yarmouth

Don't miss out on Sunracing's best bet and each-way shot at all of Thursday's meetings

THERE is some top-quality midweek action across several meetings today.

The Sunracing team have studied the cards long and hard and have picked out their best bets for the day at each meeting.

1

Doncaster

Best bet

7.00 Island Cloud - Has enjoyed an excellent season so far. Forged clear to win a decent race at Leicester last time and a penalty is unlikely to stop her following up.

Each-way

5.15 Eastern Racer - Ran his best race for a while when third back over this 6f trip at Newcastle last time. On a good mark if he can build on that effort.

Newbury

Best bet

6.10 Legends Of War - Made a very positive impression when winning on debut at Yarmouth. Found things happening a bit quick in Group 2 company latest but back in calmer waters here.

Each-way

7.15 Sweet Charity - Gave the winner too much rope when second at this track last time. Has the ability to go close if put in the race in time.

Sandown

Best bet

2.20 La Pelosa - Just touched off at Royal Ascot and badly hampered when a beaten favourite in a Group 2 latest. This is easier and hard to beat on form.

Each-way

3.25 You're Hired - Highly progressive handicapper in 2016 but struggled in two outings last term. Has won fresh and now on a dangerous mark if bouncing back.

Worcester

Best bet

3.15 Ezanak - Lightly raced five-year-old has run well on both starts over hurdles so far. Makes his handicap debut off an attractive-looking mark.

Each-way

4.50 Super Moon - Didn't get home over 2m6f last time. With a good yard and worth another chance back over this shorter 2m4f trip.

Yarmouth

Best bet

3.05 Tyrsal - Ran a more encouraging race when second here last time. Ran well in this same race off a 9lb higher mark last season, so a bold bid is expected.

Each-way

2.00 Asheena - Just touched off over course and distance in June. Didn't back that effort up at Brighton, but should leave that flop behind back at this venue.
