Ante-post favourite Without Parole heads thirteen confirmations for sensational Sussex Stakes
John Gosden's Royal Ascot winner bids to extend unbeaten record in Glorious Goodwood Group 1
JOHN GOSDEN'S Without Parole is the star show in Wednesday's Group 1 Sussex Stakes.
The three-year-old was impressive in the St James's Palace Stakes and will attempt to maintain his unbeaten record at Glorious Goodwood.
However, he'll have to do it without Frankie Dettori for the first time this season after the jockey was suspended for careless riding at Newmarket.
Instead, super-sub Andrea Atzeni has been called up, the twenty-seven-year-old having demonstrated his skill at negotiating the Sussex course with victory aboard Stradivarius in last year's Goodwood Cup.
It may not matter who's on board though if Gosden's three-year-old is in the same form as he was at Royal Ascot.
The son of Frankel made some good yardsticks look average that day and it will take a smart one to lower his colours.

Among those aiming to just that is Sir Michael Stoute's Expert Eye.
The Juddmonte-bred colt lined up in the Jersey at Royal Ascot on a recovery mission, but showed no signs of the keenness that had let him down in previous starts, running out a very easy winner.
He'll need to improve a touch on that form but he's trained by the best and connections clearly feel he's worth the £70,000 supplementary fee.
Trainer Aidan O'Brien has been struggling with the health of his stable, but nevertheless has confirmed Threeandfourpence, Gustav Klimt, Rhododendron and Clemmie for the valuable contest.
Perhaps the most interesting of those is Gustav Klimt, who was closing fast on favourite Without Parole at Royal Ascot and who will likely be suited by Goodwood's stiff finish.

Also set to take his chance is Beat The Bank, who won nicely in the Summer Mile at Ascot. Lightning Spear, who came so close to breaking his Group 1 duck in the Queen Anne is also confirmed, as are Lord Glitters, So Beloved, Hey Gaman and Threading.
Orbaan is the only overseas horse set to take part for trainer Andre Fabre.
