Templegate’s horse racing tips: Chester and Market Rasen – Templegate’s betting preview for Sunday, 5 August

IT’S worth buying into THE TRADER (nap) in Chester’s 2.25.

He saw off useful Prince Elzaam from the front at Beverley last month. I’m expecting him to do the same today from the favoured rails stall.

GOSSIP COLUMN (3.30 Chester, nb) has won three of his five races since joining Ian Williams.

He probably did too much to get to the lead from a wide stall at Ascot last month. The draw has been kinder to him today.

MAJOR JUMBO (3.00 Chester, treble) has run crackers in hot Ascot sprint on his last two starts.

He will be hard to stop if pinging out of the traps from stall one.
