Today’s horse racing tips: Two longshots to fill your pockets on Sunday, August 5

Don't miss out on these each-way bets for Sunday, August 5

GOODWOOD is done and dusted for another year and attention switches back to the usual fare with Chester and Market Rasen racing on Sunday.

We've picked out a couple of longshots that fingers crossed can go in at big prices.

There's a good Listed race at Chester and has attracted some fancy entries with a number of older heads clashing with some more unexposed types.

The one I like at a price is FIGHTING IRISH (3.00), who is clearly a tricky type and still learning but drops considerably in class for this.

As ever the draw is a big part of any run at Chester and that's not worry here with stall four absolutely spot on.

He's got a lot of speed but has run over further than this six furlong trip, which should see him staying on strongly in a race with plenty of guaranteed pace up top.

SILVER CHARACTER (3.30) can blow hot and cold, but hopefully the first time visor can do the business.

The Tom Dascombe yard has a strong love in with the Chester track and there's not many meetings that pass without the local trainer picking up a winner.

The three-year-old stays the trip no issue and is still relatively lightly-raced amongst a field of seasoned handicappers.

Fingers crossed the eight runners stay in on a day of small fields.
