Best horse racing tips for Tuesday: Sunracing’s top picks for today’s racing at Newbury, Catterick, Nottingham and Ayr
Don't miss out on Sunracing's best bet and each-way shot at all of Tuesday's meetings
WITH Galway and Goodwood over, it's the turn of the smaller tracks to strut their stuff again, and a decent card at Newbury is the highlight.
The Sunracing team have not stopped there, though, with tips for every meeting across the country on Tuesday.
Newbury
Best bet
4.30 Returning Glory - Returned to form last time out when dropped to a Class 5 and was possibly slightly unlucky not to win, having been denied a run and then headed on the line.
Well bred sort gets another chance in the same grade here and against a few out of form horses should be difficult to beat.
Each way
3.55 Jaayiz - Poor on handicap debut last time out but was slowly away and as a result could never really get into the race. Worth another chance based on his maiden win over six furlongs beforehand, and his mark isn't too excessive. Rossa Ryan takes off a handy three pounds so he should be hard to beat.
TRIP DOWN UNDER Emotionless set for a crack at the Caulfield Cup in Australia
Catterick
Best bet
2.35 Compton River - This is a really weak race, even for a Class 6. Bryan Smart's challenger bounced back to something approaching his best last time out and there are very few in this race who are in form. Harry Russell, who rode him that day, takes off seven pounds and he's run well at the track before.
Each way
3.10 Stormin Tom - Quite a decent staying race can go the way of Stormin Tom. Tim Easterby's game front-runner is in the form of his life and only just got touched off in a better race at York last time out. A reproduction of that could well be good enough here, even if he's taking on some in-form horses.

Nottingham
Best bet
6.20 Eponina - Mick Appleby has a knack for improving horses from other yards and he's done exactly that with the daughter of Zoffany. Silvestre De Sousa takes over from a claimer this time around and she can strike again at a track that clearly suits.
Each way
5.50 Kenoughty - Two-year-old nurseries at this time of year are often minefields, and this is probably no exception. However, if Kenoughty has inherited any semblance of ability from his parents, then he should be able to pick up a race like this with ease. Richard Hughes is a shrewdie and he can get on the board here with his unexposed youngster.
Nottingham
Best bet
5.40 - Fognini - Archie Watson has been unstoppable with his two-year-olds this season and his son of Society Rock won really well last time out, beating a previous winner with pair clear. On that evidence he should be capable of defying a penalty and this looks a weaker race.
Each way
6.45 - Merry Banter - Paid the price for going off too hard last time out alongside other front-runners. If ridden more conservatively he's more than capable of winning off this mark and he hasn't many chances in this grade of late. Has run well at the track before and can get back to winning ways.
