MAGNETIC CHARM caught the eye when third on debut here last time and wouldn’t have to improve much to win. She got better as the race went on and should have learned enough from the experience to account for these rivals.

POINT HOPE has been knocking on the door and teaming up with capable 3lb claimer Rossa Ryan could do the trick in this open race. She has winning form on the all-weather and almost struck on turf two runs ago at Newmarket before being held up for too long at Sandown last time. This looks a winnable mark.

HOT TEAM went close to breaking his duck when beaten half a length at York last time with the third horse a good distance behind. He hasn’t looked ungenuine but the first-time cheek-pieces can just help him to concentrate today. He sees out this trip well and looks hard to beat.

REBEL ASSAULT went close in a hotter race than this at Glorious Goodwood last week and has a sporting chance. She travelled well there before just being run out of it in the final 100 yards so this drop in grade looks a wise move from the same mark.

HARD TASKMASTER went for home too soon when fourth at Leicester last time and runs off an even lower mark here. That was a step forward on his previous form and he should have more to offer at this early stage of his career.

RETURNING GLORY has been tried over various trips but seems to favour this one as he showed when a good second at Windsor last time, beaten a neck. He’s gone up 2lb for that but should be capable of improving past the rise.

ALEXANDERTHEGREAT improved for this step up in distance when winning at Lingfield last time with plenty in hand. He has cheek-pieces on for the first time which may get a bit more out of him, while his running style suggests this galloping track will be ideal.
