RETIREMENT POT

Today’s horse racing tips: Three longshots to fill your pockets on Monday, August 13

Don't miss out on these each-way bets for Monday, August 13

FOUR meetings and big fields mean there's plenty for outsider backers to get their teeth into on Monday.

I've picked out three longshot crackers at Ayr, Ripon and Wolverhampton.

1

Fill up your pension pot with RETIREMENT BECKONS (2.40) at Ayr.

Linda Perratt's three-year-old was a much improved third at the track last time out and the application of a hood really looked to make a difference.

He has plenty of scope to improve on that as he's still lightly raced, and now Andrew Breslin takes off 7lb he looks to well-handicapped to ignore.

The step up to seven furlongs can help and he can take advantage of bottom weight in what looks a weak contest.

Take the royal route to fortune with AJMAN PRINCE (2.55) at Ripon.

Alistair Whillans' five-year-old is quite lightly raced for his age and has only raced away from a synthetic surface once in his career.

He obviously had injury problems as he was off for over a year and a half before running a belter in a decent little race at Wolverhampton back in June.

He's now had time to recover and looks to retain a fair chunk of his ability, so could be let in lightly on his turf handicap debut.

Find the light with DARK ALLIANCE (8.10) at Wolverhampton.

The seven-year-old has already been successful three times at Dunstall Park this year, and although he's not been at best of late, he seems to save his best for the Tapeta these days.

Trainer Daniel Loughnane has been banging in the winners recently and top class claimer Rossa Ryan takes off a valuable three pounds.
