Irish tips: The Curragh – Eamonn Hames’ top betting preview for TODAY
CURRAGH

A competitive renewal of the Debutante Stakes and it is very much a race full of potential rather than proven form.
It takes plenty to make Seamie Heffernan stand up and take notice, but he said he has never ridden an easier winner than when he was aboard IRIDESSA on her debut at Killarney.
She demolished a well-regarded Ballydoyle colt that day and there is no doubt that she is above average.
This is a big step up in class, but if Donnacha can get her rolling early she could cause a minor upset for Joseph O’Brien.
Aidan O’Brien runs three and all his fillies look up to this level. Zagitova is a big powerful galloper but might find this drop back a furlong against her.
Peach Tree is tactically uncomplicated, but she has been off for a while, whereas Hermosa was a big eye-catcher behind Peach Tree on debut.
She improved again when comfortably landing a maiden at Galway and has huge potential.
There was no fluke about Skitter Scatter’s Leopardstown Group 3 win, but there could have been an overreaction to Lady Kaya’s 10l romp over track & trip.
Sheila Lavery’s filly could be smart, but I would like to see her reproduce that effort at this level.
Viadera perhaps sets the standard on form — she looked above average when making a winning debut here and proved that when second in the Anglesey Stakes.
MEET THE STARS Here's all you need to know about this year's 32Red Newmarket Open Weekend

A small but select field for the Futurity Stakes and ANTHONY VAN DYCK can continue his progression through the Group ranks.
The scopey Galileo colt looked powerful when bounding clear in the Tyros Stakes and looks Ballydoyle’s No1 colt at present.
He stays well, as his Killarney maiden win testifies to, and there is no doubt that he will be at his best over a mile.
However, he has the pace for this trip and even if this does turn into a tactical contest, Ryan Moore will likely set a gallop to suit himself — he should take all the beating before coming back here next month for the National Stakes.
Stablemate Christmas is no star but he keeps on winning and Mohawk has a bit to prove at this level. Klute holds a win over Guaranteed, however, I think Jim Bolger’s colt will overturn that form and he looks the main danger.

ALL eyes will be on last year’s National Stakes hero VERBAL DEXTERITY as he makes his long awaited return in the Royal Whip.
Jim Bolger’s colt will likely need this run after 10 months off the track, but I have a feeling his class could see him through here.
Success Days won this two years ago and he will make a bold bid from the front.
Deauville is highly-rated, but does not win very often and Ming has a bit of find with a few of these.
Jessie Harrington’s Beautiful Morning has not been seen since disappointing in the Mooresbridge at Naas in May, but she should strip much fitter after getting this run under her belt and is one to watch out for in the coming weeks.
