ITV racing tips: Matt Chapman’s top betting preview for Saturday’s TV racing

Get all the info to bash the bookies as ITV's Matt Chapman runs you through Saturday's live racing on ITV4

IT'S fair to say this blogged smashed it last Saturday!

My Nap Lord Glitters went in at 2-1. But then there was Ghostwatch (10-1), Expert Eye (Evens from 7-4), Beat the Bank (11-8) and Antonia de Vega (5-2).

Cape Byron, tipped each-way at 7-1, was second. Not bad from seven selections.

Of course you are only as good as your last winner, so Saturday we go to war again. But it was a great feeling!

The ITV cameras are at Sandown, Beverley and Chester this weekend, so let's get straight into the action.

The 1.50pm at Sandown is a 5f handicap. Usually I would take on RAPID APPLAUSE, as it's not easy to come from off the pace at this track and he is up in weights.

However, Mick Easterby's charge has a good draw, is in cracking form and loves juice in the ground.

Next at Sandown is the 2.25pm, a handicap over nearly 1m2f. MASTER CARPENTER has a decent inside draw and is a dangerously well handicapped horse for Rod Millman. He goes with cut in the ground and loves this track.

The 3.00pm at Sandown is the Group 3 Atalanta for fillies and mares over 1m. On all form we know VERACIOUS should win for Sir Michael Stoute.

Far from disgraced when third in the Nassau at Goodwood last time.

Matt Chapman's TV tips

1.50 Sandown - Rapid Applause: 'In cracking form and conditions look perfect'

2.05 Chester - Daira Prince: 'Can bounce back with a good draw'

2.25 Sandown - Master Carpenter: 'Dangerously well handicapped now'

2.45 Beverley - Mr Lupton: 'More than capable if on a going day'

3.00 Sandown - Veracious: 'Should win with the best form in the book'

3.15 Chester - Duretto: 'Should have the beating of these!'

3.35 Sandown - Too Darn Hot: 'Looked special when hacking up here'

And finally at Sandown, the 3.35pm is the feature Group 3 Solario over 7f. John Gosden has a fantastic record in this contest and TOO DARN HOT looked special when hacking up at this track earlier in the month.

He looks very promising although this is not a weak field with other promising types in the mix.

Meanwhile, at Chester ITV show the 2.05pm, a near 1m handicap. DAIRA PRINCE flopped last time, but he was in good form prior to that effort for Roger Varian and crucially has stall one to help.

ITV also show the 3.15pm at Chester, a Listed contest over an extended 1m6f. On form there is only one winner, and if he is to score again DURETTO is the one.

He's rated 114, which is miles more than these, although he's not always easy to score on.

Finally, at Beverley ITV broadcast the Listed 5f sprint at 2.45pm.

Old boy Take Cover will have his supports and is still capable, but I will have a few quid each-way on MR LUPTON, who flopped last time but not so long ago beat the Nunthorpe winner Alpha Delphini. Won't be easy giving away 3lb but he's decent on a going day.

So just like last week good luck and pray for Yeeehaaas!
