SEPTEMBER HEATWAVE

TODAY’S Solario Stakes runners and tips: Your top pinstickers’ guide to Saturday’s feature race at Sandown

Sun Racing run you through the contenders for the Solario Stakes at Sandown racecourse this Saturday

IT might now be September but it's about to get hot.

TOO DARN HOT is the potential star name on Saturday and John Gosden's youngster is already silly short for the Derby.

Arthur Kitt 3/5

A decent bit of gear. A Royal Ascot winner and might be skimming slightly under the radar here. However, not been seen since and that's the worry ahead of such a competitive race.

Confiding 2/5

Not the secret you're looking for. Very weak in the market at Goodwood. Ran better than the drift suggested but might just find one or two a tad better once again.

Dunkerron 3/5

No slam dunk. From the same Goodwood race as Confiding. More experience than most but has been held on both attempts in Group company. This a Group 3 in name but arguably stronger than a lot of races through the season.

Too Darn Hot 5/5

It's getting sweaty. John Gosden doesn't tend to chuck his horses in the deep end unless they've got something - especially with his juveniles. All the signs point to this two-year-old being quite special.

Victory Command 2/5

Can't win them all. Has to be respected but needs a big step up. Ascot Listed win doesn't look so strong in hindsight but in another small field shouldn't be ignored under Silvestre De Sousa.

Watan 4/5

Wat up. Much improved when runner-up at the Ebor Festival. Interesting they run him so quickly again here and he might well just find more again. Could be the one to chase the favourite home.
