Sizzling Solario winner Too Darn Hot unlikely to step up to Group 1 company immediately as John Gosden lines up Champagne Stakes at Doncaster

TOO DARN HOT is unlikely to make the leap into Group 1 company straight away.
Saturday's star performer was thought to have Group 1 targets after his Solario Stakes romp but trainer John Gosden has lined up the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster's St Leger meeting.
The Group 2 race at Doncaster is run over seven furlongs and last year was won by Aidan O'Brien's Seahenge.
After the Solario Stakes, Frankie Dettori told the press that Group 1 races were the likely next step but absent trainer John Gosden has now said he will take things steady with the early Derby favourite.
Gosden told the Daily Mirror: "I think the Champagne at Doncaster is the logical target for him - there's a two-week gap, so that works out pretty well - and that's probably where we'll head.
"There is the National Stakes at the Curragh, but it closed in June and he wasn't put in that, because he hadn't even done a piece of work by then.

"If that goes well, then we've got options in October."
The news is good news for Doncaster as the race gets some added stardust to sit alongside an intriguing final classic of the season in the St Leger.
Meanwhile, Solario second Arthur Kitt is expected to step up in trip following his effort behind Too Darn Hot.
Trainer Tom Dascombe was pleased with his Royal Ascot winner's run and the juvenile is likely to run over a next mile for his next outing with plans still to be made.
