Wednesday’s racing tips: Two longshots to fill your pockets at Doncaster
Don't miss out on these each-way bets for Wednesday, September 12
IT'S the first day of the William Hill St Leger Festival and there's plenty to get stuck into.
I've picked out a pair of runners that have caught my eye at Doncaster and look to be worth following.
3.00 Doncaster - Encore D'Or
IT'S a trappy little race but Robert Cowell's Encore D'Or catches the eye.
The six-year-old is now 6lb lower than when winning this race 12 months ago, and he's not had a bad season.
His last three runs have been in comeptitive handicaps at Ascot where he hasn't been beaten far on all three runs.
This is a different kettle of fish and it should suit him with a little bit of cut in the ground no problem for him.
Top jockey Ryan Moore is back in the saddle and that is a big positive.

4.05 Doncaster - Caravela
DONCASTER king Andrea Atzeni gets the call up for Mick Channon's filly and they can strike on Town Moor.
Caravela has been progressing nicely this season and Atzeni was on board when she put in a really nice performance at Goodwood to win last month.
This step back up in trip today could see more to come from her and Channon may not have got to the bottom of her talents just yet.
