Saturday’s racing tips: Two longshots to fill your pockets at Doncaster and Leopardstown

IT'S Leger day at Doncaster and one of our longshots comes in the the feature Group 1.

There's good racing elsewhere though and we've picked out a couple of chances at each way odds.

3.35 Doncaster - Southern France

I'd been sweet on this horse for this race a long way out, but wasn't quite expecting such a strong field.

However, the extra depth to the race should ensure a real pace up top and that will suit Aidan O'Brien's second string down to the ground.

I'm not sure if the rain around on Friday will help or not, but the more emphasis on stamina, the better chance this improving three-year-old has.

6.35 Leopardstown - Verbal Dexterity

With Roaring Lion scaring of much of the opposition here, it looks wide open in behind and Verbal Dexterity should hit the board at a big price.

Some more juice in the ground would have been ideal, but beggars can't be choosers.

He's been targeted at this race a long way out, which not many in the field can claim and his run last time should set him up perfectly for another crack at the big guns here.
