Best horse racing tips: Sun Racing’s top picks for today’s racing at Newmarket, Fontwell, Worcester, Chelmsford and Newcastle

Don't miss out on Sun Racing's best bet and each-way shot at all of today's meetings

NEWMARKET rears its head for one of the final times this season, while there's also top National Hunt action from Fontwell and Worcester!

Sun Racing have picked out their best selections of the day so that you can line your pockets as the winter cold sets in.

1

Newmarket

Best bet

3.10 - The Olympian: Should be able to go one better here than when second to Pablo Escobarr last time out. There's no horse of that quality in this line-up and he is still open to improvement for Alan King.

Each-way

3.45 - Bo Samraan: A maiden win looked a formality after his debut third but he's not produced in two subsequent runs. Goes handicapping off a fair mark now, though, and this step up to a mile and a quarter should be ideal.

Fontwell

Best bet

3.25 - Never Learn: Had to be driven right out over three and a quarter miles last time and this drop in trip is a slight concern. However, booking of Richard Johnson counteracts that and he retains plenty of potential.

Each-way

2.50 - Mystic Sky: Definitely capable off this mark, especially as good jockey takes off 5lb. Not been in great form the last twice but blinkers now replace a visor and that will likely have a positive effect judged on previous exploits.

Worcester

Best bet

2.25 - Peppay Le Pugh: Drop back to this trip should help as was in front too long over slightly further at Fontwell last time out. The Skelton brothers are flying and this can give them another winner.

Each-way

5.20 - Royale Jonquille: Henry Daly has been banging in the winners of late and although his filly hasn't run for a while since pointing he's likely to have her fit enough. Interesting that he sends her straight over timber rather than taking the bumper route and she could spring a surprise.

Chelmsford

Best bet

6.30 - Windy Guest: Looks a reformed character after undergoing wind surgery, having sluiced to victory at this track last time out. Rise in the weights is unlikely to stop him based on that performance and his two best runs by far have come under Jane Elliott.

Each-way

6.00 - Islay Mist: Flopped last time but that was in Class 3 grade and she was probably slightly out of her depth. Had previously won a competitive claimer in fine style and if back to that form in first-time cheekpieces he'll be hard to beat.

Newcastle

Best bet

5.15 - Loud And Clear: Struck for Jim Goldie at a massive price over course and distance on his most recent outing. Nothing flukey about that effort and if anything this race looks a touch easier. Only been raised 2lb for that which seems very fair.

Each-way

6.45 - Lincoln Red: Showed a lot more last time out after a gelding operation and has been dropped another 1lb to a mark of 50. Could still improve after only six starts and this looks a decent opening.
