Roaring Lion has enjoyed a brilliant summer in the UK for John Gosden and overcame soft ground to win the QEII at Ascot on Saturday.

He is likely to tackle the prestigious Classic on 3 November before retiring to stud.

Saeed bin Suroor's Thunder Snow won the Dubai World Cup in March and ran an excellent trial for the Classic when a close second in the Jockey Club Gold Cup at Belmont last month.

Aidan O'Brien has campaigned Mendelssohn in the States this year after his runaway win in the UAE Derby, and he also features among the entries.

The home team are headed by Accelerate, who completed a Grade 1 hat-trick in the Awesome Again Stakes at Santa Anita last month.

Top US trainer Bob Baffert has won the Classic three times during a stellar career.

He could be represented by West Coast, who ran third behind Gun Runner in the contest last year.

Baffert has also entered Mckinzie, who beat fellow entrant Axelrod in the Pennsylvania Derby in September.
