Free horse racing tips for today: Newmarket, Uttoxeter, Wetherby and Kempton – The Wizard of Odds’ betting preview for Friday, November 2

The Wizard of Odds guides you through Friday's racing at Newmarket, Uttoxeter, Wetherby and Kempton

ASKARI looks one Ell of a bet in Wetherby’s 1.20.

Irish hotshot Gordon Elliott sends this son of Sea The Stars over with a big chance after a close-up third at Bangor last time out.

That was a decent enough run but all the better for the fact that he lost a shoe on the way round, which can’t have helped.

The second from that race has come out and won since so the form should be solid enough.

This sort of trip suits and she has a lot more to offer with few miles on the clock this year.

ALDANA (1.40 Newmarket) looks a horse to follow after two cosy wins on the all-weather at Chelmsford.

She showed promise when second at Haydock on debut so this return to turf shouldn’t be an issue.

This is a step up in class but Simon Crisford is having a fantastic autumn and this nicely bred filly is open to plenty of improvement.

Lady Aria looks a live danger after finishing a close-up third in a Sandown Group 3 last month. She followed that with a comfortable win in lesser company at Haydock and won’t be far away.

COPAIN DE CLASSE (3.05 Wetherby) looks the answer to this excellent chase.

Wizard's magic tips...

LUCKY 15: ASKARI (1.20 Wetherby), ALDANA (1.40 Wetherby), COPAIN DE CLASSE (3.05 Wetherby), CUILLIN (7.15 Kempton).

EACH-WAY DOUBLE: GRACEFUL LADY (2.50 Newmarket) was highly impressive when winning an apprentice contest by 10 lengths at Newbury last time.

She is out of the weights here before her rider’s claim but still looks chucked in. Pair her with LITTLE JO (4.00 Newmarket) who ran a cracker in a big field here last time and is suited by this distance.

Paul Nicholls’ rising star came back from six months off to win by a comfortable 10 lengths at Kempton earlier this month.

He was left clear at the last there, so that result is a little flattering, but it was still an excellent effort and there should be more to come.

The breathing operation he had over the summer has clearly helped and he could be more than a few steps ahead of the handicapper.

Guitar Pete won this 12 months ago and is respected despite being 10lb higher in the weights.

CUILLIN (7.15 Kempton) has been brought along nicely in three maidens before this handicap debut.

She took a big step forward when finishing second at Chelmsford last time out when she showed a high cruising speed.

She just ran out of steam in the closing stages, which could have been because of her five months off.

The handicapper has been fair with an opening mark of 75 but this trip seems to suit and there’s a lot more to come.
