Free horse racing tips for today: Market Rasen, Wincanton, Newcastle and Wolverhampton – The Wizard of Odds’ betting preview for Thursday, November 22

The Wizard of Odds guides you through Thursday's racing at Market Rasen, Wincanton, Newcastle and Wolverhampton

RED CENTRE (2.55 Newcastle) looked greener than the grass they were running on at Haydock last time out.

He missed the break and took some steering in the early stages before picking up nicely to finish a solid third.

1

That was over a mile and his breeding suggests that this longer trip should be ideal.

He should come on a bundle for that first run and trainer John Gosden wins with more than half of the juveniles he runs at Newcastle.

JERSEY BEAN (1.25 Market Rasen) has done nothing but improve lately, landing wins at Fontwell, here and at Newbury last time out.

Every time the handicapper has raised him, he has pulled out more and there were four lengths to spare for her most recent victory, which came over a similar trip.

He was clear a long way out last time and it could have been a more emphatic success but the challenge wasn’t there.

He is proven in the grade and should run another excellent race.

LITTLE JACK (3.40 Market Rasen) zoomed in by 15 lengths on his debut at Fontwell in June and looked like a real prospect.

Trainer Warren Greatrex put him away then with a winter campaign in mind and he can strike again in a similar contest.

Wizard's magic tips...

LUCKY 31: ERAGON DU CHANAY (1.15 Wincanton), JERSEY BEAN (1.25 Market Rasen), LITTLE JACK (3.40 Market Rasen), TICKLISH (4.05 Newcastle).

EACH-WAY DOUBLE: ERISSIMUS MAXIMUS (4.35 Newcastle) has moved yards since finishing second in a big handicap at Doncaster last month. That was a cracking run and he’s off the same mark today.

Put him in an each-way double with WALK ON WALTER (7.00 Wolverhampton) who battled well to win in this grade over course and distance last time. A 3lb rise in the weights gives him a chance.

He has a 7lb penalty for that success but that is offset by his rider’s claim so he should give them a beating again.

ERAGON DU CHANAY (1.15 Wincanton) faces quicker conditions than his easy win at Sandown last time but this looks a slightly weaker race and he’s off the same mark.

He sees out this trip well and the first-time visor seemed to help last time, although his form was already strong enough going into that race.

He gets on well with today’s 10lb claiming jockey and he’ll be right on the premises again.

TICKLISH (4.05 Newcastle) won on his debut at Lingfield in September and followed up with a good fifth in hot company at Longchamp.

He was slightly below that level when a well-backed third at Kempton last time but he should improve for the experience.

That last effort was over a mile and his running style suggests that the drop back to 7f may be a good idea.
