Wednesday’s racing tips: Two longshots to fill your pockets at Newcastle and Wolverhampton from Jack Keene

Don't miss out on these each-way bets for Wednesday, November 28 from Jack Keene

AFTER a flying start to last week, my fancies developed an irritating knack of finishing just outside the frame.

What a game. But I'm sensing a change of fortune, and two all-weather meetings on Wednesday offer up some good betting opportunities.

1

At Wolverhampton, classy performer GORING (4.30) is taken to bounce back from a flop at Lingfield.

Eve Johnston Houghton's six-year-old loves the all-weather like a fat kid loves cake.

The gelding rattled up four straight wins on Polytrack last winter and rounded off his campaign with a brilliant third in the All-Weather Mile Championship final on Good Friday.

He struggled in three subsequent outings on turf, though he was contesting races such as the Royal Hunt Cup and Ayr Gold Cup.

He was a little taken off his feet returning from a break at Lingfield last month and he steps up in trip here, but it's a move which should suit on both pedigree (brother to 1m4f Norsk Derby winner) and run style.

The handicapper has eased him in the weights, so he is now just 2lb above his last winning mark, while he was a 'winner' on his only previous visit to Wolves (later DQ'd after testing positive for a banned substance).

NEWMARKET WARRIOR (5.15 Newcastle) is another who just loves to feel the sand between his hooves.

Iain Jardine's seven-year-old has gained three of his four career wins over the one mile course and distance at Gosforth Park.

Jack Out The Box - Wednesday's each-way picks

4.30 WOLVERHAMPTON - Goring: 'Loves the all-weather and could relish this step up in trip'

5.15 NEWCASTLE - Newmarket Warrior: 'Three-time C&D winner met trouble latest and is on a good mark'

He was given a stinker at this venue last time when finding more trouble than Ben Stokes on a night out in Bristol.

The son of Dalakhani finished with a wet sail once in the clear to finish a never-nearer fifth.

His unchanged mark remains a good one - he won off his current rating in a higher grade at this track last winter - while this strong-travelling sort should get a strong gallop to aim at.
