BULLY'S BANKERS

Best horse racing tips for today’s action at Southwell, Catterick and Fakenham from Tom Bull

Don't miss out on Tom Bull's best bets at Tuesday's three meetings

CRIKEY. What a week off it's been. Farmer Giles has been over-indulging me big time after I gave him a couple of tasty winners - and now I'm back for more.

There are three meetings on Tuesday and I reckon I've got a trio of bankers that can blast away the bookies.

1

Southwell

1.30 Angel Palanas - Carries just a 6lb penalty for winning as he liked at the track last time out, thrashing a course specialist under claimer Jonathan Fisher.

That was as good a performance as you'll see on Southwell's sandy surface and if he's as alert from the gates this time around (has to break from stall 10), then he should be too strong for his rivals.

He's won twice over this six furlong trip and has enough speed to cope with the drop in distance.

Catterick

1.10 Manwell - This is an intriguing little race as the horse with the most potential, Gettysburg Address, is returning from a very long absence.

He may just be found wanting for fitness and this can instead go the way of Sam England's Manwell, who should put an end to a frustrating run of seconds.

One his first start after a wind op last time he produced a nice performance in a competitive field at Southwell to take runner-up spot.

He should strip fitter this time and hasn't been raised by the handicapper, so everything looks in place for a big run against rivals who are largely out of form.

Bully's Tuesday Bankers

1.10 Catterick - Manwell

1.30 Southwell - Angel Palanas

2.50 Fakenham - Thomas Todd

Fakenham

2.50 Thomas Todd - Was unfancied at Musselburgh earlier this month but produced a cracking debut for Laura Mongan and won a decent race impressively.

He's been raised 9lb for that performance but if anything this looks a weaker race and he's still very unexposed, having had just a handful of starts in point-to-points.

A first tongue-tie could eke out more improvement and he looks a possible progressive type in a race made up of horses handicapped to the hilt.
