Altior to face four rivals in Desert Orchid Chase as Dynamite Dollars and Kalashnikov to do battle in Wayward Lad
Altior had been expected to miss Kempton for a return to Ascot but connections have added this Grade 2 to his season long plan
RACING fans are in for a post-Christmas treat as Altior heads a field of five in the Grade 2 Desert Orchid chase tomorrow.
Nicky Henderson's superstar was expected to head to Ascot for his next run but connections have opted for Kempton on route to Cheltenham.
The race is expected to be a procession for the Champion two-miler.
His nearest rival on the ratings is the 19lbs inferior Diego Du Charmil from the Paul Nicholls yard.
Special Tiara has won this race twice in the past and will once again line up at Kempton for Henry De Bromhead.
Completing the five-strong field is Diakali and Speredek.

The other highlight on the card is the Grade 2 Wayward Lad Novices' Chase.
Again there is only five runners, but it should be more competitive with the promising Kalashnikov and Dynamite Dollars both standing their ground.
Amy Murphy's Kalashnikov steps into Graded company for the first time over fences, whilst Dynamite Dollars is fresh off the back of his impressive Henry VIII Novices' Chase win at Sandown for which he carries a 7lb penalty.
Maria's Benefit will also line up. Stuart Edmunds' mare has been impressive in two starts over fences.
Highway One O One and Hope's Wishes complete the lineup.
