Best horse racing tips for today’s action at Cheltenham, Catterick, Musselburgh, Southwell, Exeter and Fakenham from Tom Bull
Don't miss out on Tom Bull's best bets on New Year's Day
I ended last week nearly 200 quid up and am feeling as buoyed as a featherweight dinghy!
Hopefully the winning run can continue and I reckon I've got some pearlers for the first day of the new year.
Southwell
2.20 Angel Palanas - Has been in tremendous form at the track of late, winning twice over seven before a very good second over a furlong shorter last time.
Back over the longer trip he should be very hard to beat, even off a 2lb higher mark.
Jonathan Fisher has built up a good relationship with his mount and the pair can strike once more.

Cheltenham
1.25 Defi Du Seuil - Finally got back to somewhere near the form of his four-year-old season when accounting for a very good field at Exeter last time out.
He jumped much better than on chasing debut and if reproducing that is the one they've all got to beat.
Topofthegame has franked the form since and although Philip Hobbs' contender has a 3lb penalty, he's the class angle.
Catterick
2.45 Manwell - I'm sure jock Jonathan England (who's usually very reliable) would say his effort aboard Sam England's contender wasn't his finest hour last time out.
Having jumped very well throughout, his challenge was delayed until it was too late and eventual victor Eureu Du Boulay had flown.
The winner has since gone onto strike again so the form looks strong and Manwell should be able to get his revenge now that there's a turnaround in the weights.
Bully's New Year's Day Bankers
1.25 Cheltenham - Defi Du Seuil
2.20 Southwell - Angel Palanas
2.45 Catterick - Manwell
3.00 Exeter - The Last Day
3.05 Fakenham - Molly Carew
3.25 Musselburgh - Born For War
Musselburgh
3.25 Born For War - Looked fairly exposed before form took off at the track last time when he won with any amount in hand.
Has been raised 10lb for that but is still capable of better and is the youngest of the quartet.
He takes on Elmono once again and should be able to confirm placings.
Exeter
3.00 The Last Day - This is not a strong novice chase for the track and it gives Evan Williams' seven-year-old a big chance of landing a first win over fences.
He was beaten by a very smart horse at Lingfield last time out but would have finished second if he hadn't fallen - and that's the strongest form on show.
He has White Moon to beat but that one's looked a shadow of his former self and will need to improve to trouble the selection.
Fakenham
3.05 Molly Carew - Produced a fine performance to finish second at Sandown last time as she was hampered early.
This is a much weaker race and she should be too good for these off a 4lb higher mark.
The switch to fences has clearly improved her and there's bound to be more to come.
