Best horse racing tips for today’s action at Musselburgh, Chepstow and Wolverhampton from Tom Bull

Don't miss out on Tom Bull's best bets at Monday's meetings

IT'S been a Christmas and New Year full of debauchery, eating more than I can physically stomach and drinking myself silly - so here's to more of the same!

This column has been whacking in the tips of late and I'm hoping to finish the 12 days of Yule with another festive brace.

Musselburgh

3.00 Ballycrystal Court - One of the weakest handicaps staged all day and this should go to Nicky Richards' contender, provided he sees out the trip.

He's only had two starts for the yard and did very well to finish second last time, just finding an in-form sort too good.

If he comes on from that, which he should, then he's the one to beat off just a 1lb higher mark.

Wolverhampton

5.45 Given Choice - This should be a walk in the park for Simon Crisford's progressive four-year-old.

He was a very good second last time behind a rapid improver and should have few problems going one better now dropped in grade.

He gets to run off the same mark here and he's one from one on tapeta. This is his for the taking.

3.00 Musselburgh - Ballycrystal Court

3.50 Chepstow - Cloudy Glen

5.45 Wolverhampton - Given Choice

Chepstow

3.50 Cloudy Glen - Venetia Williams is in fantastic form at the moment, with ten of her last twenty runners doing the business.

She should get another winner here as her six-year-old was very impressive last time out at Haydock, romping clear in the soft conditions.

That was a conditional jockeys' race so he escapes a penalty, and he should be far too good for this ordinary field.
