Monday horse racing NAP: Your best bet for today’s racing from Callum Jamieson
Don't miss out on today's best tip across all the cards up and down the land
ANOTHER week rolls into town and there's three meetings across Monday.
It took some work to nail much down in the notebook, but hopefully I've found a winner on the all weather.
CHAMPAGNE RULES (Wolverhampton, 6.15) is the strongest fancy on a uninspiring day of racing.
The grey looks a tricky customer to train and has thrown away more races than he's won.
But in recent weeks he looks to have warmed to the game a tad more and was a convincing winner over course and distance two weeks back.
A 4lbs rise would have got nowhere near to stopping this eight-year-old that day and fingers crossed it shouldn't here.
He had a troubled passage that day and was only doing enough out front when winning by over two lengths.
He has a habit of hanging badly in the straight so it's important Phil Dennis is strong in the saddle when push comes to shove.
Given the size of the field he should be a decent enough price and connections were quick to state they think he's much better than this Class 6 grade after he won last time.
Let's hope the cards fall into place again. Good luck.
Elsewhere on Monday...
The family heirlooms will be stored away on Monday and it took some work to come up with even some tentative fancies.
But a pair of Venetia Williams runners caught the eye. TOP AND DROP (Chepstow, 2.10) and CLOUDY GLEN (Chepstow, 3.50) will be hard to keep out the Winners' Enclosure.
