Best horse racing tips for today’s action at Doncaster, Huntingdon, Lingfield and Newcastle from Tom Bull
Don't miss out on Tom Bull's best bets at Friday's meetings
I feel victory in my fingers, and success in my toes!
This week has been a shambles with so many meetings called off, so let's hope today's cracking Donny card gets the go-ahead.
Doncaster
12.50 Ballasalla - Donald McCain has his string in good nick this season and his progressive seven-year-old should be good enough to take out the opener.
His second at Catterick over Christmas was a fine effort and the application of first-time cheekpieces is a positive.
The step up in trip will suit and he can get off the mark over the larger obstacles.
Huntingdon
2.40 Magic Of Light - It's slightly surprising to see Jessica Harrington's eight-year-old back so soon after a tough race at Ascot on the weekend.
However, she's obviously raring to go and judged on her Newbury win, she should be too good for this lot.
That was a really impressive victory in arguably the hottest mares' chase of the season, and even under a penalty she should have too much gas here.
Bully's Friday Bankers
Doncaster 12.50 - Ballasalla
Lingfield 1.15 - Hidden Dream
Huntingdon 2.40 - Magic Of Light
Newcastle 5.15 - Equiano Springs
Lingfield
1.15 Hidden Dream - This is a very weak opener and it looks best to stick with the tried and tested.
Christine Dunnett's four-year-old was an emphatic winner in this grade at Chelmsford back in November and should be able to strike again off a 4lb higher mark.
The 71-day absence is a minor concern but he should have enough improvement in him to see off a poor field.
Newcastle
5.15 Equiano Springs - Was a very good second last time, finishing a neck in front of the re-opposing Athollblair Boy.
The weights favour him again here, as does the drop in grade to a 0-80.
It means he's top weight but it's a compressed handicap and he's the class angle.
