Best horse racing tips for today’s action at Newbury, Lingfield, Kelso, Doncaster and Chelmsford from Tom Bull

Don't miss out on Tom Bull's best bets at all of Saturday's meetings

I'VE been suffering from a heavy dose of man flu but now I'm back and ready to roll.

Saturday's cards have really got my juices flowing and I reckon I've found a couple of sizzlers.

Newbury

4.15 Molineaux - On a tricky card, this looks by far the bet of the day.

Colin Tizzard is doubly-represented but his Molineaux is the one to be with after finishing second to an improver last time at Exeter.

This looks a weaker contest and the drop in trip should be ideal.

Lingfield

3.20 Insurgence - Produced a fine seasonal debut when just going down to an outsider at the track last time.

He should strip fitter this time and looks well-handicapped off just a 1lb higher.

James Fanshawe has had two winners from his last five runners and can strike again here.

Kelso

2.45 Black Corton - This looks a winnable opportunity for the former Grade 1 winner.

He's the highest rated in the race and has been in good form over the sticks recently, finishing second to Top Notch over an inadequate trip before filling the same berth behind a progressive one at Ascot last time.

Bryony Frost takes the ride and the long trip up to Kelso should be worthwhile over his best trip.

Bully's Saturday Bankers

2.45 Kelso - Black Corton

3.20 Lingfield - Insurgence

3.35 Doncaster - Looking Well

4.15 Newbury - Molineaux

7.30 Chelmsford - Foreign Legion

Doncaster

3.35 Looking Well - Bounced back to form in no uncertain terms last time, beating off a strong field of veterans for a nice success.

He was visually pretty impressive that day and his size and scope can help defy a 6lb rise.

The step up to 3m2f should be even better and he should follow up.

Chelmsford

7.30 Foreign Legion - I'm not usually one to back horses on a five-timer, simply because in most cases the handicapper has their measure.

However, I'm not sure that applies in this case as Luke McJannet's four-year-old has only been raised 5lb for winning well at this track last time.

He's raised in grade now but hasn't stopped improving yet and although he'll need to negotiate a wide draw, he did exactly that last time.
