2.40 The Tin Miner - Had been going mightily well until a poor run in the Sussex National last time out.

But this return to calmer waters and further, dropped in trip should suit ideally.

Danny Hiskett takes off a valuable 5lbs, and he's not much higher than his last resounding win.

3.55 Captain Drake - This is a properly competitive heat, but Harry Fry's unexposed Novice looks the one to side with.

His opening mark looks a tad on the generous side and Fry sends two to Southwell that both look to have huge chances with Noel Fehily booked on board both.

Mon Palois is the danger but I fancy this lad to have a bit of progression in him now in handicaps.
