UFC ace Alistair Overeem shows off tiny scar after incredible recovery horrific lip injury just two weeks ago
ALISTAIR OVEREEM is stitched and healed up just two weeks after he suffered a horror lip injury.
The Dutch heavyweight, 39, took on Jairzinho Rozenstruik in Washington DC as the main event of the UFC Fight Night on ESPN on December 8.
During the final seconds of the fight, Overeem was knocked out with a heavy right hand and suffered a gruesome gash that sliced open his lip.
The former kickboxer immediately had the cut stitched up that resulted in some intense scarring.
But just over a week later and Overeem has fully recovered with incredible pictures revealing a healed up heavyweight, with no stitches and only a tiny scar in sight.
The UFC veteran was just four seconds away from beating Rozenstruik on points and moving a step closer to the heavyweight title.
Overeem had bossed the earlier rounds of the bout and was 4-0 up on all three judges' scorecards at the time of the stoppage.
But the right hook turned the fight on its head, as gruesome footage showed a large chunk of flesh flapping up as the Hounslow-born fighter was sent tumbling to the canvas.
Despite the stunning KO and horror cut, Overeem insisted he was not a beaten man.
He said: "It was a nice fight, it was a good scrap.
"I was winning all (the) rounds, just doing my thing. Too fast of a stoppage if you ask me.
“I was not out. I was knocked down, getting right back up."
