UFC star Nate Diaz slams ‘b**** a**’ Khamzat Chimaev and blames rival as reason for him being out of action for year

UFC star Nate Diaz has blamed "b**** a**" Khamzat Chimaev getting married as to why he hasn't made his return to the octagon.

Diaz has been on the last fight of his UFC contract since losing a decision to Leon Edwards last June.

But Diaz says his return to the octagon being delayed is due to Chimaev getting married.

The pair are set to meet on July 2 at UFC 276.

Diaz said: "I've been trying to fight for a year and months I also tried to fight Khamzat for the last month and a half but he was hurt.

"He had visa issues, overweight and now his b**** a** is off getting married instead of fighting wtf?

"I’m trying to get a fight with a real fighter asap/July."

Chimaev, who recently got married in his home country of Chechenya, responded to Diaz's claim, saying: "You are funny, are you high? It seems like you've been smoking."

Diaz claims the UFC tried to book him a fight against the up-and-coming star for last December.

He told : "They’re coming at me with [Chimaev], and I’m like, ‘Hold on, don’t disrespect me like that, trying to offer me a fight with a rookie'."

UFC legend Daniel Cormier reckons Diaz should complete his trilogy with Conor McGregor.

He told : “Well, I’ve got two names. I know who he should fight, and I know who he probably will fight.

“Who he should fight is Nate Diaz. They should complete this trilogy. It’s a massive fight.

"Both guys are not necessarily in the title picture right now. It’s a fun fight. We’ve seen it twice and both of them have delivered.

"I think it’s evenly matched, so I think he should fight Nate Diaz.

"Who I believe he will fight is Michael Chandler because Michael Chandler has taken the UFC by storm."
