EDDIE ALVAREZ has been getting acquainted with Conor McGregor before their UFC 205 showdown - by punching him.
The pair will fight at Madison Square Garden on Saturday as McGregor returns to the Octagon for the first time since his successful revenge against Nate Diaz.
Bidding to become the UFC’s first two-time champion, The Notorious will face off with Alvarez in one of UFC's finest ever cards.

And the American fighter is preparing for what may prove to be a brutal encounter with a punchbag - complete with McGregor's face.
Alvarez has a record of 28-4 and is making the first defence of his title that he won in July after beating off the challenge of Rafael dos Anjos.
