McGregor was greeted on his return from the night out on Sunday at 3am by fans who were waiting for his signature but told them he would sign for them when he left the hotel.

But the Notorious did not leave the Lowry for another 63 hours and only departed on Tuesday night at 6pm to catch his private jet.

The Irishman appeared to confirm this was the case by referencing SunSport's story on his Instagram page.

McGregor revealed in his Q&A that he was confident a superfight with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather would be his next bout.

But the Irishman admitted it could be a while as both sides need to agree on the amount of money they will earn from the fight.

McGregor said: "Me and Floyd have got to get together and talk the same way him and Manny [Pacquiao] figured it out.

"Once we come to a number, once we come to a set number that I’m happy with, that he’s happy with, then we go to the customers.

"Then we go to the promoters, to the buyers, and then we get it done. That’s next.

"We’ll figure the situation out then go to the dotted line, but this is happening."
