Conor McGregor’s super bout with Floyd Mayweather would ‘certainly’ be approved by Nevada State Athletic Commission
Boxing chiefs shrug off doubts over UFC champion McGregor's experience and says it's a fight everyone wants to see happen
CONOR McGREGOR'S super-bout with Floyd Mayweather moved a huge step closer today- after Nevada boxing chiefs said they would "certainly" sanction it.
Irish mixed-martial arts legend McGregor, 28, wants to switch sports to face USA boxing icon Mayweather, 39.
And Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director Bob Bennett shrugged off doubts over UFC lightweight champion McGregor's lack of boxing experience.

Bennett told : "Who wouldn't want to regulate the two best fighters at 150 pounds in their respective unarmed combat fields?
"That's certainly a fight that we would approve and have in Vegas. Mayweather's a phenomenal fighter, and so is McGregor."
Bennett admitted he would need to see McGregor boxing in person first.
He has already seen a video of him because the UFC icon's attorney provided boxing footage in December when McGregor applied for a boxing licence in Nevada.
Bennett has few doubts, though, over McGregor's suitability.
He said of the Dubliner: "He's a phenomenal athlete. He's arguably one of the best strikers from the UFC.
"He's in great shape. He's hardcore, he trains hard, fights hard."
Bennett added: "Mayweather is arguably one of the best fighters of all time because he doesn't believe in getting hit.
"But let's not forget Floyd (will be) 40 and Conor is 28, so it'd make for a great fight."
