Conor McGregor labels Floyd Mayweather a ‘p***y’ as Dana White reveals MMA fight talks are real
UFC star takes dig at old rival after he appeared to back of swapping the boxing ring for the Octagon - but sport's main man White claims crossing codes is still in the pipeline
CONOR McGREGOR has labelled Floyd Mayweather a p***y after appearing to backtrack on switching to MMA.
Boxing legend Mayweather had claimed he was mulling over coming out of retirement by embarking on a new career inside the octagon.
Yet when talk of a rematch with UFC star McGregor surfaced, the ring star reigned himself in and claimed he would only fight for a BILLION dollars.
On hearing the latest twist, Irish star McGregor took to social media to make his jibe at Mayweather's expense, simply tweeting: "P***y".
McGregor isn't convinced the ring legend has the stomach to end his retirement and try his luck in MMA.
Yet UFC supremo Dana White insists he IS still locked in talks with the 40-year-old and the interest in trying a new sport is genuine.
White insists he is negotiating with Mayweather about looking to set a deal with the UFC.
He said: “We’re talking to Floyd about doing a UFC deal. It’s real.
"He was talking about [boxing] Conor McGregor. Was that real? Have you heard Floyd talk about many things that aren’t real?
"He usually tips his hand when he’s in the media and then that s*** ends up happening.
“We’re interested in doing something with Floyd. Everything is a realistic possibility. Mayweather versus McGregor f****** happened. Anything is possible.”
Long time UFC commentator Joe Rogan added to the speculation saying on his podcast that White told him Mayweather has been in talks with White.
“Floyd talked about it. This is one thing I can tell you,” Rogan said on his podcast.

“Dana told me that Floyd wants to make a deal in the UFC. Like legitimately. I texted him, I go ‘Is Floyd really talking about fighting MMA?’
"He goes ‘Yeah, he’s f****** crazy. I told him he’d get killed. But he’s still talking about doing it.”
Mayweather’s last fight was against the UFC’s lightweight champion Conor McGregor in August where he took his unbeaten record to 50-0 defeating the Irishman in the 10th round in Las Vegas.
