Conor McGregor threatens to take rival Khabib Nurmagomedov’s head off in chilling threat ahead of UFC 229
McGregor is determined to end Khabib's long unbeaten record - totalling 26 fights - in Las Vegas
CONOR MCGREGOR has vowed to take Khabib Nurmagomedov’s "head off" with the pair’s highly anticipated grudge match now just two days away.
McGregor and UFC lightweight champion Nurmagomedov square off in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
And speaking after yesterday's public workout at the Park Theatre, McGregor addressed the crowd saying: "It's good to be back doing what I love to do in front of my fans.
"On Saturday night you're in for a show, trust me on that. I'm going to take his head off.
"[It will be a] devastating KO, he's too easily hit, too flat-footed, too predictable, I'm going to knock him clean out.
"Let's go do it, a proper fight, a proper, proper fight.
"I'm going to come out of the gate fast, I don't give a f*** about anything; any wrestling, any technique, any engine, any anything.
"I'm coming for that man’s head from the f****** bell. Trust me on that."
Nurmagomedov attempted to get in McGregor’s head once more by playing mind games – claiming that the Dublin-born fighter has betrayed his Irish heritage by speaking English.
Addressing the pro-McGregor crowd Khabib said: "In three days you're going to like me.
"I have a question for Ireland - what about your own language?
"What about Irish language, where's your language?
"Can someone give me an answer? This guy talks about fighting the English empire but his grandfather, Christopher, worked with the English navy and he killed your people.
"Now you support him - but I'm going to change that on Saturday night."
