Conor McGregor whiskey selling out fast as UFC star vows to order in more bottles ahead of Khabib Nurmagomedov showdown
McGregor's new whisky has flown off the shelves in his native Ireland - with Tesco limiting customers to just two per sale
CONOR MCGREGOR has been “blown away” by the sales of his new whisky - vowing to order more supplies in to Las Vegas in time for his fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The Irishman, 30, admits he's been stunned by how popular the whisky has been, which has sold out in multiple locations.
McGregor's stunt of bringing a bottle of the No. 12 Proper Whisky to his press conference has well and truly paid off - with them flying off the shelves in his native Ireland.
Such is the popularity of the whisky, which is priced at £39.95, Tesco in Ireland are having to limit customers to just two per sale.
The whiskey will sponsor McGregor's UFC 229 fight with its logo on the canvas in the Octogan.
He said: "It's exceeded all expectations. I'm involved with a couple of people who have been in the liquor business their entire lives and they've never seen anything like this.
"I'm actually blown away. It has skyrocketed.
"We're at the stage where we're trying to meet demand now, so we're getting more glass created and keep the whisky flowing.
"Bear with us, it's out of the park.
"I tell you what though, it's flown into Las Vegas for fight week, know that."
