Khabib Nurmagomedov is meeting Putin while Conor McGregor is selling whisky in a corner shop, mocks UFC title holder’s manager
KHABIB NURMAGOMEDOV’s manager Ali Abdelaziz has took aim at Conor McGregor, insisting the gulf in class between the Irishman and his client “is not even in the f****** same planet”.
The pair are currently serving indefinite bans from UFC following the ugly scenes which followed after Khabib’s fourth-round victory over McGregor on October 7.
Abdelaziz insists it’s his fighter who is now on a higher level, in and outside of the Octagon, claiming all McGregor does is sell alcohol.
The 30-year-old recently unveiled his own branded whisky, Proper No Twelve.
Abdelaziz told TMZ Sports: "Come on, man! You have a meeting with (Vladimir) Putin (Russian president) and (Recep Tayyip) Erdoğan (president of Turkey).
“Then the other guy is selling liquor on the corner store. It's not even in the f****** same planet.”
Elsewhere, Abdelaziz has admitted that UFC lightweight champion Khabib could retire if he doesn’t land a mega-money fight next.
He added: “I don’t think Ben Askren, (Tyron0 Woodley… none of these guys can touch Khabib.
“Especially if you’re scared to get tired, these guys get tired.
“Like now, I’m not even worried about Tyron or Ben Askren, I’m worried about somebody bringing £50m to £100m to the table.
“None of these guys can bring £200,000 to the table and I don’t really care what they say.”
He continued: “Khabib can retire now, he’s rich, but if somebody going to put big-big cheque on the table and we can get it done.
“I don’t care about No 1 contender, right now it’s about the pay cheque.”
Abdelaziz said he’s open to a rematch with the outspoken McGregor, who he says is “the guy we just killed,” should the money be right.
He revealed: “At the end of the day, a whole bunch of money get on the table - maybe the rematch, I don’t know, maybe we’ll give a rematch to the guy we just killed.
“One thing I really regret in this fight, Khabib carried him for four rounds, I really want to see him [Conor] drink his own blood.
“He talked a lot of sh** and didn't back it up.
“He embarrassed himself in front of his whole beautiful country of Ireland, his father, his mother, his wife."
