HOLLYWOOD superstar Halle Berry is toughening up for her new movie by training with UFC ace Brian Ortega.

The stunning actress is prepping for her latest blockbuster called "Bruised" with production getting underway next month.

Berry, 52, is directing and starring in the martial arts drama and she's getting a helping hand from the best in the business.

In the movie she plays an MMA fighter who is on a downward spiral and she attempts to reignite her career to prove her son wrong.

Taking to social media, she posted a snap of the pair alongside the caption: "All about this #ManCrushMonday - the #1 UFC ranked featherweight.

"So grateful he said yes to training with me in preparation for #BruisedTheMovie, and cannot wait to share what we cook up together."

The delighted American responded: "I'll gladly take the man crush Monday from you @halleberry, I'm honored and happy to train with you."

Ortega, 28, was undefeated in his 15 fights before taking on Max Holloway at UFC 231.

Berry also struck an unlikely friendship with UFC's Cris Cyborg after she invited the A-lister to watch Claressa Shields beat Femke Hermans at the HBO final in Los Angeles.

They even took a picture with Shields that was proudly showed off on social media by Cyborg.

Cyborg, 33, is currently the UFC Women's Featherweight Champion and is ranked 11th in the pound-for-pound ratings.
