Floyd Mayweather wants to promote Justin Bieber vs Tom Cruise UFC grudge match
AN ANTICIPATED UFC contest between Justin Bieber and Tom Cruise could be promoted by Floyd Mayweather, after the boxer claimed he would be happy to help make the fight happen.
Promoting the celebrity grudge match would entice him into getting involved, but he will have to be asked first.
Popstar Bieber, 25, called out Oscar nominated actor Cruise, 57, to a fight last month, tagging in UFC boss Dana White in the process.
And Mayweather is open to getting involved.
The American told : "If they bring me in as a promoter, then I can talk about it.
"But until then, I gotta stay in my lane. Gotta stay in my business."
White promoted the crossover bout between Mayweather and UFC star Conor McGregor back in 2017, and was the first man Bieber went to for this prospective contest.
The singer had tweeted: "I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon.
"Tom if you don't take this fight your scared and you will never live it down.
"Who is willing to put on the fight? Dana White?"
Bieber continued to target Cruise when undertaking the bottle cap challenge last week, again challenging the Top Gun and Mission Impossible star.
And he has previous with Mayweather having walked on with the 42-year-old for a number of his fights and joined him for training.
For White, the prospect of celebrities settling their differences in the octagon is not an irregular occurrence.
However, he believes there may be something in this proposal.
White noted: "Lots of people will talk about fighting somebody in the UFC, things like that.
