Rio 2016 Olympics: Jessica Ennis-Hill to return to scene of her greatest triumph in final warm-up for Brazil
JESS ENNIS-HILL is returning to the scene of her greatest triumph to find inspiration for the defence of her Olympic title.
The reigning heptathlon champ is bidding to become the first British woman to win back-to-back Olympic golds on the track at the Rio Games.
And Ennis-Hill will be at the London Anniversary Games next month in her final outing before defending her crown in Brazil.
She will compete in the 100 metres hurdles and the long jump at the two-day Anniversary Games, which kick off at the Olympic Stadium — the scene of her London 2012 glory — on July 22.
The Sheffield star, 30, fired a major warning to her rivals by recording her best heptathlon score since setting a personal record at London 2012.

The 6,733 points over seven events she notched up in Germany at the weekend was 64 more than she scored in winning gold at last summer’s World Championships in Beijing. It was also the second best in the world this year.
Ennis-Hill, who also smashed her long jump best in leaping 6.63m, said: “I have been very selective about my competitions but, due to the very strong field in the 100m hurdles in London, my coach and I felt it was good to have a fast race before heading to Rio.”
Ennis-Hill revealed to SunSport she will skip the Team GB holding camp in Belo Horizonte partly because of fears over the Zika virus.
She plans to train alone in Europe for ten days before flying directly to Rio and competing on the opening day of the athletics programme on August 12.
