Rio Olympics 2016 schedule: The Brits in action today, including Super Saturday survivors

TEAM GB have heroically charged up the Rio Olympic Games medal table in the past couple of days, as a gold rush has catapulted our brave boys and girls up to third.

Only the United States and China can boast more golds than the Brits' seven, with 20 and 13 respectively.

That was thanks in no small part to a superb THREE golds on days seven, to go with three silvers, including two top gongs for Brit rowers and Sir Bradley Wiggins' record eighth podium-topping performance in the team pursuit.

But how will day eight go for Team GB? Will it be a repeat of London 2012's Super Saturday?

11.30am - It's golf time, with Brits Justin Rose and Danny Willett in action, with Rose currently joint fourth, just four shots back from leader Marcus Fraser.

2.10pm - Rebecca James flies the flag in the women's keirin, going in heat No3.

2.10pm - At the same time as James get on her bike, Alan Campbell will take part in Final B of the men's single sculls in the rowing.

2.23pm - Jason Kenny takes part in the round of 16 of the men's sprint, going in heat No1, with Callum Skinner going in No2 moments after.

2.37pm - Britain will be represented by Lennie Waite in the women's 3000m on Saturday. The Team GB star will be in the third and final heat.

2.45pm - Great British pair Chris and Gabrielle Adcock are in mixed doubles badminton action taking on Poland in Group B.

3.06pm - Team GB's rowers go for gold in women's eight finals, with the men just 21 minutes later.

3.21pm - Christine Ohuruogu kicks off her 400m campaign in heat No4, while Emily Diamond is in heat No5 just minutes later.

3.34pm - Laura Trott and Co are in action in the fourth heat of the women's team pursuit, with the finals set to go at 9.14pm.

3.45pm - Heptathlete duo Jessica Ennis-Hill and Katarina Johnson-Thompson continue their medal hunt on the final day of their event, with just the long jump, javelin and 800m still to go.

4pm - Tennis semi-final: Brit star Andy Murray plays Japan's Kei Nishikori looking to retain his title.

5.05pm - There's a host of sailing action to enjoy, with no fewer than six events kicking off at just after 5pm including dinghy and skiff action, with plenty of Brits involved on the water. The action keeps coming thick and fast with a further nine races starting between 6pm and 7.20pm. There are a further two races at 8.05pm and 8.20pm.
