Rio Olympics 2016: Laura Trott reveals she once was hospitalised after eating too much chocolate
LAURA TROTT has revealed she once was hospitalised after eating too much chocolate at Christmas.
The double-gold winning cyclist, who became Britain's most successful female Olympian win a grand total of four golds over two games, said she cannot help her sweet addiction.
But it once got dangerous one Christmas when she was about ten years old. She told Gethin Jones on Facebook Live: "Once I nailed a whole bag of Christmas tree chocolate and the cocoa percentage was just stupid in it.
"I was lying there with all the lights off, I was seeing stars and everything went cross-eyed.
"I was really young at the time aged ten - they took me to hospital thinking I was seriously ill but turns out I just had a migraine from chocolate.
"I just like plain milk chocolate, but the stuff in Rio here has been pretty dodgy."
Compliments flew in from around the world during the interview, during which she also revealed her music tastes before a race - but just don't ask her to sing them!
She added: "I just listen to the UK Top 40 when I'm warming up, I just like a mix. At the minute I'm listening to Robyn "Dancing on your Own" a lot, but I can't sing I'm completely tone deaf."
And despite picking up golds in the Team Pursuit and the Omnium in Rio, she said he proudest moment was seeing her fiance pick up his SIXTH gold to join as the most decorated gold medallist in British Olympic history.
She said: "The highlight of the Olympics so far for me is seeing Jason win his sixth gold medal for sure.
"I know it's a bit cliche but it was definitely my best moment. He never gets nervous at all."
Trott has been joined by her family in Rio - but one notable absentee is her sister Emma, who gave a very awkward interview to Good Morning Britain yesterday after which she was called "jealous" and "bitter" of her younger sister's success.
